Children with learning disabilities or children with special needs have to go to special education schools. The primary objective of special education schools is to bring the children affected with learning disabilities back to the mainstream and live a normal healthy life, just like other normal children do. Since LD affected children have special needs, special education schools have to be equipped with the infrastructural facility, trained faculty and support system in place to give these special children quality education and also the confidence required to perform in the outside world.
Special education schools impart training to the children to improve their basic skills, enhance their coordination of mental and physical faculties and hone their social skills. Special education schools have in their faculty, teachers who have been trained in al psychological aspects regarding children with special needs; they are able to impart knowledge to the children fully recognizing their psychological and physiological needs.
Special education schools are also equipped with educational aids and appliances needed to correct learning disabilities in children. Audio visual teaching is also imparted to children thereby grabbing their attention and making them willing participants in the learning process. Just like special education schools for children with Ld, there are also special education schools that impart training to the faculty of special education schools. The importance of these special education schools cannot be overstresses, as they play the most important role in developing the confidence, social skills, mental and physical strengths thereby enabling these children with learning disabilities to go to a normal school one day.
